Why We Started
Like many parents exploring Canadian private schools, we wanted to give our child the best possible chance to feel ready for the admissions process. But we quickly discovered a challenge: there is no single standardized entrance test used by every private school. Each school may assess students differently, making it difficult to know what to expect or how to prepare.
We weren’t looking to put more pressure on our child. We wanted practical ways to build familiarity with assessment-style questions, improve focus, and feel comfortable working independently in a timed testing environment.
That’s why we created AdmissionsEdge: to offer thoughtfully designed practice assessments for families facing the same uncertainty.
What We Hope to Achieve
Our goal is simple: make admissions preparation more accessible and less overwhelming. Through grade-specific practice tests, along with school information and admissions guides, we aim to give parents a convenient starting point and help students approach test day with greater confidence.
Where We’re Going
As AdmissionsEdge grows, we plan to add student dashboards, progress tracking, and performance analytics so families can better understand strengths, identify areas for improvement, and see how preparation develops over time. We also hope to build a welcoming resource for parents to learn from one another.
