Entrance Assessment
Greenwood does not require the SSAT and does not use SSAT results as part of its admissions process.
Instead, all applicants complete the Character Skills Snapshot, an online assessment designed to examine seven character-related or non-cognitive qualities. Greenwood uses the Snapshot alongside other application materials when assessing character and fit.
There is no separate academic entrance examination listed in Greenwood's current admissions process. Academic readiness is assessed through school performance, teacher recommendations and the broader application review.
Admissions Process
Applicants submit:
an online application;
parent and student supplements;
previous and current school reports;
two teacher recommendation forms; and
the Character Skills Snapshot.
Once these requirements are sufficiently complete, the family is invited to an admissions interview.
During the interview, a member of the Admissions Team meets with the student individually and also with the student and parents or guardians. Discussion focuses on areas such as interests, strengths, goals and approaches to learning.
